Jeanette Kawas National Park
Jeanette Kawas National Park is a national park located in the municipality of Tela, on the northern Caribbean coast of the Atlántida department of Honduras. It was established on 1 January 1988 and covers an area of 781.62 square kilometres. It has an altitude of 900 metres. The Península is home to a tropical rain forest, and is inhabited by various interesting animals, the most visible of which is the howler monkey. has several white-sand beaches, including the pretty Playa Cocalito. Offshore coral reefs make for snorkeling.
